Photo 101 Challenge – Architecture:  From geometric patterns on skyscrapers to the ironwork on historical buildings, there are many opportunities to capture the beauty and complexity of architecture. Color is a powerful element in photography. But let’s not forget black and white, or monochrome, which can be very dramatic! Black, white, gray, and shades in between interact in the frame in dynamic ways.

My entry is a photo of the Waterside Chapel in Palmetto Bluff, SC.  This tiny chapel is exquisite in its lines and symmetry.  Below are my images in monochrome and color.  I think that the monochrome highlights the architectural features of the building in a more dramatic way.
