Floral Friday – Swirls

I had the opportunity to visit the Botanical Garden at the University of North Carolina today.  It’s a gem of a facility, with a wide variety of indigenous and exotic plants.  Many plants displayed exuberant swirls, curves and loops in their structures.  Here are a few examples:

  1. I love that first photo of the begonia rex “escargot” Karen. I grow a little one here in Vancouver. It’s a fascinating little plant. It was really difficult to get one and when I found one at my favourite nursery, I snapped it up in a second. 😀
